Luther Dell

Hi Friends and Family,

Now, I am at Luther Dell Bible Camp near Remer, MN. The camp is near a lake and is really beautiful. This past week, we have started working on music. I have been working mostly on guitar and vocals, but I hope we can bring a keyboard too. We also have been learning about how to build and enhance relationships. Training has been really unique because I have never been this intentional about relationships. We spent a long time learning about how to create a program and perform.

My team is wonderful! We get along really well.

I will be at Luther Dell until September 7th, when I will go to a church in the Twin Cities to have a program for Rally Day. Then, I will go with the international teams to a camp in Wisconsin for the last week for training. On September 12th, there will be a sending service for all of the teams.

Training at Christ the King

Hello!

This week I've been at training in the Twin Cities. We train at Christ the King Lutheran Church. So far, training has been great! My team is awesome! We are still waiting for our last team member to arrive (Resserne). He is in Cameroon waiting to get a visa. I have really enjoyed getting to know my teammates. It has been really fun meeting people on other teams and hearing about who they are and where they will be going.

During training we have been learning about Youth Encounter and their theology, about what we will be doing what type of personalities we have, about leading worship, about leading games, and about building a team. It is really exciting to see many different people excited about YE's ministry. We have spent a lot of time in devotions and meet by team getting to know our team members and talking about how we will work together. My favorite part our training has been the theology sessions with YE's President Larry Johnson.

For the next few weeks of training, I will be at Bible Camp; so, I will not have internet or cell phone reception, but I look forward to updating you more soon.

Almost There

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for checking my blog. Hard to believe that summer is over already. It went fast. Sunday, I begin training for Youth Encounter. Recently, I have been busy packing--it is hard to pack for a year! Oh well, I know I'll get better throughout the year. Beginning on August 17th, I will train with my team in New Brighton, MN. We will also train in Remer, MN and Grantsburg, WI. After four weeks of training, Cross Fire (my team) will be traveling mostly on the East Coast of the US until December. In January, we will go to West Africa!

In spite of my stressful summer, I have raised more money than I expected. Thanks again for all of you who support me.

I am really anxious to meet my teammates!! They are: Adrienne, Resserne, Sonja, Luke, and Lindsay. Please pray for us throughout the year.
